PUBLIC HEALTH NUTRITIONISTWomen, Infants & Children Program$73,860.72 – $89,778.24 AnnuallyContra Costa County Health Services Department currently has an excellent career opportunity for a Public Health Nutrition in our WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program located in Brentwood, CA. You may occasionally be required to travel to various locations in Contra Costa County. The Public Health Nutritionist is responsible for planning, directing and carrying out the nutrition education program and providing nutrition services to the public. WIC serves pregnant women, women who have recently been pregnant, infants and children up to their fifth birthday. WIC’s mission is to provide all women, infants and children with healthy food, and the knowledge and opportunity to make healthy choices in an atmosphere of dignity and respect, thus enhancing the potential for all Californians to enjoy a higher quality of life. We are looking for someone who is:•       A clear communicator. You will be responsible for providing individual and group counseling and providing nutrition education clearly in writing and verbally to clients.•       Knowledgeable.
