Career Guidance Program
The Los Angeles District (LAD) of the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (CAND) offers the Career Guidance Program to dietetic professionals and students who are members of LAD. This program is currently in the process of being revamped and will return soon! We are in the process of recruiting dietetic professionals to provide you with the best information and advice on jobs in the field of nutrition and dietetics!

Become an Advisor, Mentor or Preceptor
The Los Angeles District (LAD) of the California Dietetic Association is recruiting dietetic professionals who are willing to provide assistance/career guidance, as needed, to your fellow RD and DTR members. If you are interested in providing information about your career path- your journey of where you are today, your recommendations and experiences as well as your knowledge regarding your specialty/field- with other dietetic professionals who may be interested in that same field or who would like to reach out to you with questions, we would love it if you became what we call an LAD advisor.

By completing this form, this will be your first step in creating your bio or profile for our Website and you can give as little or as much information as you choose. Our end goal is to create a database of RD’s and DTR’s to showcase all of the possibilities for careers in our profession as well as to create a networking opportunity to connect with other professionals with ease.

If you’d like to still become an advisor, please fill out the information below. We also would like to request your photo to go along with your profile (optional) if you so choose. Your guidance is very much appreciated! If you have any additional questions about becoming an advisor, please contact: If you are interested in serving as an advisor, please complete this online form, which will be submitted to Karmen Ovsepyan, MS, RD, LAD President. Only LAD members (students or active) will have access to this information, upon their application.
