Erin Lehman PRESIDENT :: Erin Lehman, RDN
Erin is a health educator with Kaiser Permanente of Orange County. Her current position focuses on empowering people in her community through nutrition and health education. Previously Erin worked as a clinical dietitian with Sodexo. During her clinical practice Erin provided outpatient nutrition education to clients of the Surgical Weight Loss Center and Kidney Transplant Center at Riverside Community Hospital. Erin has received a Level 1 certificate of training in Adult Weight Management, is a member of the Weight Management and SCAN Dietetic practice groups. Erin also serves as a Legislative Ambassador for the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Marcia Goodson PRESIDENT ELECT :: Marcia Goodson, MBA, RD
Marcia Goodson, MBA, RD is a Therapeutic Nutrition Specialist at Abbott Laboratories. She began her career in health and wellness as the Director of Nutrition Services at Brazos Presbyterian Homes in Houston, TX, after earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics from Michigan State University in 2008. Since then, she has remained invested in improving the health and experience of hospital patients. As a Food Service Director and Assistant Director of Patient Services, she advocated for quality food services, consumer awareness, and quality patient care. In 2014 Marcia earned her Master’s in Business Administration from Texas Women’s University and has used her expertise and unique skill-set to create innovative solutions to complex challenges faced by organizations. Her passion for the field translates to her personal life. She also dedicates time every month to ensuring equitable food security for under-resourced populations by volunteering at local food banks and other community service organizations. As President Elect of the Inland District of the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, she hopes to contribute to the mission of improving the well-being of society through the shaping of public policy and consumer choices.
Nancy Banda IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT :: Nancy Banda, MHA, RD
Nancy Banda has been a registered dietitian working in healthcare for a number of years. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Nancy completed her dietetic internship at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and began her professional career working as a clinical dietitian in the outpatient setting a the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She left the Mayo Clinic and accepted her first Administrative role at Rapid City Regional Medical Center where she met her husband. She and her husband were transferred to Southern California where they continue to reside. Nancy is currently working as a Senior Area Manager of Multiple Services for Sodexo Healthcare. Prior to her current position, Nancy has served in a number of leadership positions within healthcare and within the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (CAND) with special interest in Public Policy. Nancy is married and has two sons and five grandchildren that keep her busy and feeling young!. In her spare time she enjoys running competitively and has qualified as an All American runner in 5k races. Her goal is to be All American in both the 10k and half marathon races. Nancy currently serves as President of the Inland District of CAND encouraging registered dietitian nutritionists to advocate for our profession by supporting each other through networking and promoting good nutrition for all Californians.
Jeannette Hand VICE PRESIDENT FINANCE :: Jeannette Hand, MS, RD
Jeannette Hand has been working as a Clinical Dietitian at San Antonio Regional Hospital in Ontario, CA for the last three years. In addition to working with in patients she works with out patients at San Antonio Regional Hospital’s NICU Follow-Up Clinic. Jeannette received her Master’s of Science Degree in Nutrition Science from Cal Poly Pomona in 2013. Jeannette has previously served on the board of the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as the Presidential Student Mentee 2008-2009 as well as Treasurer for the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics – Inland District 2013-2015.
Casslyn Weaver SECRETARY :: Cassyln Weaver, RD
Casslyn is the Registered Dietitian for Loma Linda's Behavioral Medicine Center in Redlands California. She provides clinical care as well as nutrition education classes on a weekly basis for both inpatient and outpatient populations struggling with mental illness and chemical dependency. Casslyn thoroughly believes in the importance of nutrition knowledge because it can empower individuals to take charge of their own health and well-being. Casslyn completed her undergraduate studies at Cal Poly Pomona before moving to Sacramento to completed her dietetic internship for 1 year. Born and raised in southern California, Casslyn naturally returned after finishing her internship to begin her career as a Registered Dietitian.
Dorothy Chen-Maynard, PhD, RD, FAND DELEGATE COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE :: Dorothy Chen-Maynard, PhD, RD
Dorothy Chen-Maynard, PhD, RD, FAND is an Interim Chair of Department of Health Science and Human Ecology and DPD Director at California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB). She is starting her 24th year at CSUSB and she started the Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway (ISPP) Program in Fall 2013. Each year, the DPD graduates about 50 students and ISPP Program takes 25 interns. After completion of PhD in Nutritional Science, she started her present position. She received her MS from CSU Los Angeles and BS in Biological Sciences from University of Southern California. As a member of AND House of Delegates, Dorothy represents Inland and Los Angeles Districts. She served as President of CAND and IDDA, along with CAND Foundation Board, CAND Board, Inland District Board, and various positions in different levels of the dietetic association. As a strong advocate of the profession, in order for her to encourage others to join the Academy, she established an award for potential members to apply for membership fee within in the Academy through CAND Foundation.
Rachel Flores MEMBERSHIP CHAIR :: Rachel Flores, MS, RD
Rachel is a lecturer and the director of the Dietetic Internship at Cal Poly Pomona. She also works per diem as a clinical dietitian with Aramark at Community Hospital of San Bernardino. She has worked as a clinical nutrition manager and clinical dietitian at San Antonio Regional Hospital and taught as an adjunct professor for Chaffey College. Rachel completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Cal Poly, Pomona, as well as her dietetic internship. She has served on the nominating committee of both the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as the Inland District. She is a member of many DPGs including Dietitians in Nutrition Support; Nutrition and Dietetic Educators and Preceptors; Sports, Cardiovascular And wellness Nutrition; and Pediatric Nutrition; as well as ASPEN. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, running, and walking her 3 dogs.
Sarah Tomlinson PUBLIC POLICY CO-CHAIR :: Sarah Tomlinson
Sarah is a student at Cal State University, San Bernardino. She will graduate in June 2016 and earn a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and food science with a minor in psychology. She is involved with her school’s nutrition club, volunteering for numerous activities to gain experience. Sarah plans to apply for a dietetic internship and masters program later this year. Her focus of study is in renal care and diabetes education. Sarah serves as the public policy representative for the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Inland District.
Lindsey Morse PUBLIC POLICY CO-CHAIR :: Lindsey Morse
Lindsey is a student at Cal State University, San Bernardino. She will graduate in 2018 with her Bachelors in Nutrition and Food Science. Lindsey is currently a catering manager for Wedgewood Banquets and, works as a receptionist for Brookdale assisted living. She volunteers at San Antonio Regional hospital in the Nutritional Services department and, is a past officer for Mount San Antonio's Nutrition Club.
Terry Taylor NOMINATING COMMITTEE CHAIR :: Terry Taylor, RD
Terry Currently works as the Clinical Nutrition Manager at Riverside Community Hospital. She has served as the 2011-2012 President of the Inland district, as well as, Nominating Committee Chair and Secretary. Terry has been a vital proponent and facilitator of the Inland District’s Student Career Expo for the past 5 years. Terry’s philosophy is to continue the work of my predecessors in maintaining a district level dietetic association, where members can network, pursue goals and impact their communities, by being involved in activities that highlight the RD/RDN.
Renee Warner NOMINATING COMMITTEE MEMBER 1 OF 3 :: Renee Warner, RD
Renee Warner has been working as a clinical dietitian at Community Hospital of San Bernardino for the past four years. She has also worked as a consultant in multiple long-term care facilities. Renee received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Cal State San Bernardino along with a certificate in Gerontology. She has previously served on the board of Inland District as co-secretary for two years and loved the aspects of networking and opportunity for growth through this wonderful organization. Renee is a wife and mother to two beautiful young children that make life both challenging and fulfilling. In her free time, she enjoys working out, cooking and spending time with family.
Carly Maitlin Carter NOMINATING COMMITTEE MEMBER 2 OF 3 :: Carly Maitlin Carter, MPH, MS, RD
Carly Maitlin Carter graduated for California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor’s in Food and Nutrition. After finishing her dietetic internship at Patton State Hospital she went on to earn a Master’s in Public Health from California State University, Fullerton. Since 2007 Carly has worked as an inpatient clinical dietitian with Kaiser Permenante with a focus in pediatrics, pediatric intensive care, and neonatal intensive care. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition, California Children’s Services paneled, and completed the Certificate of Training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management. Carly has held multiple positions within CANDID including VP Membership, President-Elect, and President. She has also held positions within CAND including President Mentee, New Member Communication Representative, and Public Policy Coordinator. Carly is happiest when exploring hiking trails with her husband and puppy.
Ali Alvarado NOMINATING COMMITTEE MEMBER 3 OF 3 :: Ali Alvarado, RD
Ali is a professor in the Nutrition and Foods department at Mt. San Antonio College. She previously worked ten years for the PHFE-WIC program where she also completed her dietetic internship. She earned her Bachelor's degree at Cal Poly Pomona. Ali is married with three children, Cruz who is 6 years old, Chase who is 4 years old, and Arianny who is 8 months. Ali enjoys working out and when she's not in the gym, she can be found at the Little League and soccer fields cheering on her children.
Raven Lopez COMMUNICATIONS CHAIR :: Raven Lopez, MS, RD
Raven currently works as Food Operations Manager with Sodexo at Riverside Community Hospital. Raven received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and a graduate degree in Nutrition Research from Georgia State University.
Raven Arias SOCIAL MEDIA CHAIR :: Raven Arias, RD
Raven Arias is a current WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Dietetic Intern at San Diego State University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Cal Poly Pomona in Dietetics. Raven got her first post-grad job offer at Riverside County Department of Nutrition Services as a Degreed Nutritionist for the WIC program. Raven plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Health after becoming a Registered Dietitian.
Frances Rodriguez Molina SOCIAL MEDIA CONTRIBUTOR :: Frances Y. Rodriguez Molina, RD
Frances is a bilingual Renal Dietitian who has been working in with Hemodialysis and with pre-dialysis patients at the Nephrologists office for almost a year. She also works as a Consultant Dietitian with Dietitians on Demand in Victor Valley Global Medical Center. Frances completed her dietetic internship at Veteran's Affairs Caribbean Healthcare Center in Puerto Rico and received her B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Puerto Rico. She is also Licensed Nutritionist-Dietitian in Puerto Rico, where she worked as a Foodservice Dietitian. Two years ago, Frances relocated from Puerto Rico, after Morrison Healthcare hired her as Lead Dietitian to work at the Department of Psychiatry Inpatient Treatment Facility in Riverside. In addition to CANDID, Frances is also a member of the Renal Dietetics Practice Group and the National Kidney Foundation. She plans to take the CSR test on November to become a Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition. Frances enjoys yoga, hiking, cooking, reading and sightseeing.
Ginko Lueder VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR :: Ginko Lueder, RD
Ginko graduated with her Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics from Cal Poly Pomona in 2010. After graduating, Ginko went on to get her Diet Technician Registration (DTR) and began practicing at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program with Riverside County. Although Ginko loved her job as a Health Educator at WIC, she wanted to broaden her abilities, so she advanced her career by obtaining a position as an intern with the San Diego WIC Dietetic Internship. Ginko currently works as a Nutritionist for the Riverside County WIC program and provides nutrition education to low-income women and children. Ginko is an active member of the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics - Inland District and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Jamie Embree HISTORIAN :: Jamie Embree
Jamie is a Dietetics student at Mt. San Antonio College. She has been a volunteer in the San Antonio Regional Hospital in Nutrition Services department for a little under two years. Jamie founded the Mt. San Antonio College Nutrition and Food Club and has been president of this club for a little over three years. Her goal is to become a Registered Dietitian and specialize as a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). This Summer she plans to do a Sports Dietetics Internship with UCLA. In June, 2016 she will be obtaining her associates in Kinesiology and Wellness from Mt. San Antonio College. In Fall she will be transferring to an ACEND accredited program to obtain her bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She is currently the student representative for CANDID.

    Qualifications:

  • Contact leading health organizations, food manufacturing companies, local city council members, pharmaceutical companies, etc. to form alliances to help secure funding or donations for the various events planned throughout the year.

    SPEAKER
    Qualifications:
  • We are looking for speakers who are specialty trained, and have unique and cutting edge nutrition related topics to present on.

    SOCIAL NETWORKING CONTRIBUTOR
    Qualifications:
  • Must be a current Inland District and AND member.
  • Ability to commit to 5 - 10 minutes of volunteer time per day or an estimated 20 hours a month.
  • Be social networking savvy, including the ability to post status updates on Facebook and LinkedIn, Tweets on Twitter, and other various social networking Websites.
  • Be up to date on the latest nutrition and health issues bu subscribing to various credible resources (i.e. Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, etc...).
