Membership Dues for the year (June 2016 - May 2017) are due by May 31st, 2016.
If dues are not paid by June 30th, AND name and contact information will not appear on the Official 2016-2017 CTC Roster.
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) membership is mandatory for all CTC members.
Membership is accepted at anytime.
Fee Schedule: Active/Associate: $35 | Dietetic Tech: $30 | Retired/Students: $15

How do I qualify for membership to CTC?
    Any person, who is a member in good standing of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, is eligible to become a member of CTC. Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics members may hold membership in more than one district.

    To be a member of CTC, either complete the paper form or pay on-line via paypal.

    Membership is $35 per year for active members (RDs), $30 for DTRs, $15 for retired individuals, and $15 for students upon completing a membership application. If dues are not paid by June 30th, AND name and contact information will not appear in the district roster.

Membership Classifications
    The membership classifications are listed below. Members of CTC shall have the same classifications of membership as they hold in Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

    Active Member Any person who has a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and meets academic requirements specified by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and who meets one or more of the following criteria may apply for Active membership:
    1. Is a Registered Dietitian, credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
    2. Has completed a pre-professional experience program accredited/approved by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
    3. Has earned a master's or doctoral degree conferred by a regionally accredited college or university.

    Associate Member Any person who has earned either a master's or a doctoral degree and who holds one degree (baccalaureate, master's, doctoral) in one of the following areas may apply for Associate membership: dietetics, foods and nutrition, community/public health nutrition, food science, food service systems management. A regionally accredited college or university must confer each degree.

    Technician Member Any person who meets one or more of the following criteria may apply for Technician membership:
    1. Is a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or has established eligibility to write the examination for dietetic technicians.
    2. Has completed an associate degree program for dietetic technicians that have been approved by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
    3. Is a graduate of a baccalaureate degree program and meets academic requirements specified by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved dietetic technician program experience.

    Retired Member Any member of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics who is no longer employed in dietetic practice or education and is at least 62 years of age or is retired on total (permanent) disability may apply for Retired membership. All Retired members of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, at the time any new classifications become effective, shall continue in the retired classification.

    Affiliate Member Any person who meets one of the following criteria and is not eligible for Active or Technician membership may apply for Affiliate membership:
    1. Is a graduate of a baccalaureate degree program and meets requirements specified by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
    2. Is a student enrolled in an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics accredited/approved dietetic program.
    3. Is a student enrolled in a pre-professional experience program accredited/approved by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
    4. Is a student in a regionally accredited, post secondary education program, which is non-Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics accredited/approved.
    5. This classification is available for three years to students who state intent to enter an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics accredited/approved program.

    Honorary Member Any person who has made a notable contribution to the field of nutrition and dietetics may be admitted to the Association as an honorary member upon invitation of the Board of Directors.

    Returning Student Member Any active or Associate member returning to school on a full-time basis for a graduate degree or any Technician member returning to school on a full-time basis for a baccalaureate or graduate degree may apply for Returning Student status. Membership in the Returning Student class must be renewed annually, but must not exceed a maximum of 5 years.

Rights and Privileges of Membership
All Active, Associate, and Technician members whose dues are not in arrears shall be entitled to vote in the annual election. They shall be entitled to hold elected and appointed offices and positions at the national level as designated by the House Delegates. They shall be entitled to hold elected and appointed offices and positions at the affiliate level as designated by the affiliate dietetic association.
All Retired members whose dues are not in arrears shall be entitled to all rights of the membership classification from which they retired.
All Affiliate members whose dues are not in arrears shall be entitled to hold appointed positions at the national and affiliate elections or hold elected positions on the national or affiliate levels.
All Honorary members may serve as members of committees and attend meetings. They shall not be entitled to vote or hold elected office.
All Returning Student members may attend meetings, participate in continuing education programs, serve as committee members; hold appointed offices and vote in annual elections. They shall not be entitled to hold elected offices.
